Neidpath is impossibly romantic – but it’s also refreshingly real. Authentic. Genuine. It’s what makes getting married at Neidpath a truly unforgettable experience. On the day, you’ll have exclusive use of the castle as if it were your own, with complete privacy for your wedding party.

Of course, the focus is on your wedding celebrations – but Neidpath does have some fascinating distractions for your guests. There’s that incredible view of The Borders scenery from the battlements for a start. Then there’s the chance to peep into the castle’s medieval pit prison, through a grill set into the cellar floor. Happily, this glimpse into the rigours of medieval life can viewed from the comforts of a very welcoming bar in the former guard house. No ancient stronghold would be complete without a well, and Neidpath’s was cleverly protected. It’s another extraordinary and original feature, for you to discover within the vaulted cellars.

We just came back from our wedding which was held at Neidpath Castle. Lulu and her team were faultless 
and made sure everything went without a hitch, helping us plan and host the perfect day. Our guests LOVED 
the venue and enjoyed looking around the castle after dark. Perfect place for the dream Scottish wedding. The 
castle looked beautiful - all the fires and candles lit in the evening - and the layout and set up for the day worked
 so well. Cannot recommend highly enough for a large private event or wedding.

    Thank You!We had such a fantastic wedding day at Neidpath. Everyone was so kind, helpful and enthusiastic. Ines and Sandy really went above and beyond and we're so grateful to them. We really didn't have to think about a thing on the day - they even put up a travel cot in a quiet room for toddlers needing naps. Our friends and family had a fantastic time exploring the castle and the atmosphere was fantastic - it's such a fun, quirky and cosy wedding venue. The accommodation (the castle itself and the Barmkin next door) were beautiful. We didn't need to decorate beyond buying napkins as Neidpath sorted the table flowers and candles. Food was from Kindred Kitchen, who were fantastic. The food was delicious and they made the great suggestion of kids snack boxes to keep little ones happy throughout the canapes/mingling. They were also so accommodating of dietary requirements. All in all, we had such a fantastic time and wouldn't have changed a thing. I couldn't recommend Neidpath more highly.

    Our wedding at Neidpath in February 2025 was absolutely wonderful! Everyone was so lovely and accommodating to make our big day everything we wanted it to be and more. The venue speaks for itself but the cottage and Queen Mary's chambers are so beautiful and cosy whilst also being opulent. We have already booked to stay again for our anniversary! We had 50 guests and they all had a great time and loved the quirkiness of the castle. There's something for everyone. And as for the photos. Just fabulous. We are jealous of anyone else having their big day as we would do it all again in a heartbeat.
