LIGHTS, CAMERAS, AND PLENTY OF ACTION

More good news for tv and film makers – Neidpath is easy to access for large production vehicles. There are two huge car parks. One is right beside the castle, and other is located just above. There is also a large 130KW generator in the top car park. This reliably supplies both the castle and a distribution point in the lower car park.

We can provide catering and accommodation for your crew. Decoration can also be supplied. Site visits are welcomed, and you can also request a virtual tour of the castle.

PURE THEATRE

Neidpath stands dramatically over the Tweed. And as an astonishingly well preserved medieval castle, it’s not just the scene of memorable weddings, parties and a backdrop for photoshoots, it’s also a great film location.

The castle itself is visually stunning. And there are some incredible viewpoints.

As the castle, the grounds, and the wider surrounding area are all so unspoilt, the atmosphere is authentic and believable if you are looking for the perfect historic setting for film or tv – or simply an amazing place for a photoshoot.

OUR VERY OWN SCREEN GODDESS

One of the residents of Neidpath is a bit of a scene stealer herself. Our vintage Citroen DS - the legendary ‘Goddess’ model - is the same, iconic car that has appeared in a number of Hollywood films. Most notably, the instantly recognisable DS starred in the Fred Zinneman classic ‘The Day of the Jackal’ – ably supported by Edward Fox, and Michael Lonsdale.

Despite sharing the superstar looks and charm of her illustrious compatriot, our own Goddess remains comparatively modest. And while happy to consider major film roles, she is also available for weddings and photoshoots.
