Townhead of Lyne is our new holiday accommodation. Set high on the hill with spectacular south-facing views over the Upper Tweed Valley, two double bedrooms and a wood-fired Hot Tub.

Really get away from it all, roam the hills like a John Buchan hero, then wind down with a great steam-up in the Hikki wood fired hot tub. Or just curl up on the enormous sofa and read books in front of the fire.

Eclectic, warm and welcoming in style, there are two sumptuous bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms. The Blue Room has a huge four poster bed, and you can light the fire in the boudoir bathroom next door.

The Yellow Room has two singles that can be linked to make a super king double, a huge ensuite shower room and a sliding door leading out to the hot tub.

Rainy days are a joy, with a smart TV, lots of DVDs, a well-stocked library, a Roberts Bluetooth Radio and house-speaker, cards and board games.

The kitchen is full of cookery books, so why not try a new dish? There’s an oven, induction hob, microwave, Kenwood magi-mix, Nespresso machine and dishwasher to take care of the mess.

Rescued from dereliction and renovated to an exceptionally high energy standard with an eco-friendly air-source heat pump, underfloor heating and super-fast fibre broadband.

A big desk in the book-filled hall gets lots of morning light and is perfect for catching up with emails or writing that novel…
